A community-centric renovation of a 1930s auto body shop, 3300 Sunset is woven into the fabric of Silver Lake’s shopping and dining resurgence. We worked with RYDA Group on the renovation of this portion of their new Sunset Row development and also created a signage package for the retail space located at 3210 Sunset.
The result is a restored architectural gem, featuring expansive bow truss ceilings and expertly restored original details that are a natural fit for this new cultural hub.
One of our goals was to ensure the inherent beauty of the building would shine through, even with the new enhancements required to meet the thriving neighborhood’s current needs. The design respects the structure’s hallmark art deco roots by blending timeless modernity with heritage architecture. Stamped concrete, storefront glass, and sliding metal gates create a sophisticated, yet resilient, allure that will last for years to come.
The vintage charm of 3300 Sunset offers incredible street presence for the visitor and tenants of the 12,624 SF retail and restaurant complex. Welcoming outdoor gathering spaces, including a central public courtyard, blur the borders between public and private space. The lush 6,500 SF urban garden includes social seating and natural gathering spaces to accommodate a variety of vibrant activations and community events.
